Reggie is a sweetheart! He is patient and kind as well as smart and obedient. He has one blue eye and one brown eye making him the talk of the town.  Reggie is laid back and an all around terrific family companion for any sized home.

Lancer is the softest mix around! He is a handsome, young Labrador / Chow Chow / Shepherd mix. He’s strong and healthy and ready to go for walks. He is obedient and knows many commands. He is well behaved in car rides and would love to be a couch potato with you.

Adoptable Dogs & Procedures

Why adopt?

If you have room in your heart and home for a new dog, adopting a rescue dog makes sense for a lot of reasons. First of all, you will be giving that dog a second chance at life and happiness. Every week, hundreds of wonderful dogs are euthanized Miami-Dade County alone -  simply because there are not enough homes for all of them.

By adopting a rescue dog rather than buying a dog from a pet shop or breeder, you help reduce the demand that drives the commercial breeding of dogs. While choosing a rescue dog over a purchased one will not solve the pet overpopulation problem, it does give many of them a chance they otherwise would not have.

If you adopt a young adult or older dog, you can avoid many of the domestic hassles related to house-training and teething. Puppies are cute, but they do require lots of attention, training and patience (and newspapers, of course)! An older dog might also fit in better with your current dog than a rambunctious puppy. But if it is a puppy your heart desires, the Rescue always has young ones available!

There are plenty of great reasons to adopt, but the best reason of all is that by rescuing a dog or a puppy, you will receive unconditional love from a devoted best friend for life!  Just ask any dog owner you know!
