ADOPTABLE PETS CAN TAKE A MOMENT TO LOAD...
You will be giving a deserving dog a second chance at life and happiness. Every year, countless wonderful dogs are euthanized in Miami-Dade County simply because there are not enough loving homes. Plus, choosing to adopt helps reduce the demand that drives commercial breeding and the horrors of puppy mills. By rescuing, you also free up kennel space for another dog in need of our help - so that's actually two lives saved by one adoption. Another great benefit to adopting is that our volunteers can help match the perfect dog for your lifestyle. There are plenty of great reasons to adopt, but the very best is the unconditional love you will receive from an appreciative best friend. Just ask any rescue owner you know!
Our rescued dogs are well cared for; have been medically evaluated, treated, and spayed/neutered; are current on vaccines, flea/tick control, and heartworm preventative; and come with ID microchips implanted and registered. Adoptions also include one free visit to a designated Paws 4 You veterinarian partner for a check up within the first week. We request a donation with each adoption to help subsidize the medical and boarding expenses our rescue incurs year-round.
How to Adopt
To be considered, please submit an application which can be accessed via each dog profile below or by clicking here. Applications are carefully reviewed by volunteer members of an Adoption Committee, who also reserve the right to deny applications and are not required to provide the reason. Please allow 3-5 business days for a response. After that, you may follow up at email@example.com.
Every Sunday from 11am to 4pm, we load up our van with hopeful rescues and head to PetSmart on US1 and SW 136 Street across from The Falls mall. With almost 100 in our care, not every dog gets to go to every event, so we hold an Open House at our "Retreat" one Saturday each month from 12pm to 4pm where you can meet them all! Keep in mind that only approved applicants can take a dog home the same day. Learn more about visiting us by clicking here.
